The auditions were all over and American Idol is finally heading to Hollywood. A place where dreams will be severely crush – perhaps, more “painful” than your dreams being crushed while auditioning in your hometown, right? So, as audience, we are here waiting for tomorrow’s first Hollywood Week episode of Season 9. You all got your favorites but we’ll see how far they can go once they are there with other contestants that ‘can sing’. Are they good enough to stand out from the rest…
What’s so good about this is that there are 170 Golden Tickets given to these hopefuls and only 24 persons getting the chance to compete and making it to the show for people to vote. That means there were about 146 egos being crushed and get those people back to where they belong.
The process is the same (I think) and it’s all about singing, of course, but the best part is when the judges starts picking up their choices and put the bunch of ‘good ones’ in a room and the ‘bad ones’ in the other room. So when the bad ones were crushed, that’s the best thing to watch.
Another thing is the ‘Group Performance’, when contestants tried to be nice with each other and act as a group but deep inside wants to out-sing one another. This is the part that contestants would spend a night practicing as a preparation for the so-called ‘Group Performance’. So when one person steps forward, the other three guys steps backward and the guy who steps forward makes it, the other guys were like: “what???”… lol
There will be more of this, and tomorrow is the first episode where Ellen DeGeneres sits in there as a judge replacing Paula Abdul.
