American Idol team switched the schedules. They’ve moved the boys to perform by Tuesday Night, and moved the girls by Wednesday Night. This is because Crystal Bowersox was hospitalized due to diabetes complications. This is temporary though. Next week, things will be back in its regular schedules. Tonight it’s the girls performing and the show starts with…

CRYSTAL BOWERSOX. She’s having this health issues, so I’m just wondering how she’ll be taking this song. To my surprise, she sounded like not having any health issues at all! This night, Crystal Bowersox, prove to Simon that if ever he’ll be taking the subways, he’ll stop on his tracks and listen to this girl singing! Crystal did CCR’s “Long As I See The Light”. There’s nothing but amazing vocals shining from this girl. Goosebumps!

Next up is HAELEY VAUGHN. She did Miley Cyrus “The Climb”. I thought that was okey at first but no idea how things turned out average this time around! Too much vocal tweaks from Haeley murders this great teenage song!

LACEY BROWN takes the stage. She did a Sixpence None the Richer track “Kiss Me”. Well, I don’t know… but it seems to me that Lacey did forget the words and tried to relax by chewing them. This performance might be putting her in danger next week but what do I know…

Next is KATIE STEVENS. Katie seems to be regressing in each week’s performance. Last week, she’s bordering between bad and good because of a song choice that makes her old and now she did “Put Your Records On” by Corinne Bailey Rae. That’s just odd, so to speak! Why is Katie Stevens singing songs like this is beyond me! She should be singing songs from artists of her age I suppose…

DIDI BENAMI. She stirred the YouTube channels with ‘Terrified’, trust me that’s just good. However though, Didi can’t keep that one up. Last week she’s not doing any good, and tonight she’s doing it like she’s on a pageant contest. I might be convinced calling her as the new Brooke White or the Brooke White of this season. She got bashed so bad by the judges and she almost cry, I feel bad for her but that’s the way it is.

The judges seems to be looking for something “unique” and “make it your own” and it seems that the contestants were trying so hard to met those ‘demands’. Now it’s MICHELLE DELAMOR’s turn to bite the bait. She did a Creed song called “With Arms Wide Open”. Reading this alone will make you wonder how did that turned out? Well, it was… bad (at least to me)! I’ve no idea what the judges are hearing in that performance, haha!

LILY SCOTT… I don’t like saying this, but Lily Scott is Crystal Bowersox opponent since Hollywood Week and they’ll be battling until the end of this season. This is tough. Scott did Sam Cooke’s song, “A Change Is Going To Come”. Mixing it with her own tone and style, it all turned out great and one of the best of this night.

KATELYN EPPERLY is doing Coldplay’s “The Scientist”. She slowed it down but she didn’t change anything. It still sounded the same, only that it goes down so slow and there’s a woman singing and she’s playing this white piano making her look great – but boy that performance is so boring it can make you fell asleep!

Next up is PAIGE MILES. I think she’s having fun and that’s what matters the most here. Keep it loose and ignore the critics. Doesn’t matter if people will appreciate it or not as long as you like what you’re doing – that’s fine with me! The judges want her to sing a “big song” since last week but she choose some safe songs I guess. What do I know…

Closing the show is SIOBHAN MAGNUS. This is great episode: Bowersox starts it – Lily Scott in the middle – and Siobhan in the end. Nice arrangement, otherwise it’ll be a long night considering Crystal starts the show so good and the rest were so bad. So anyway, Siobhan did Aretha Franklin’s “Think”. I remember McPhee did this song on that same stage too (Season 5) but Siobhan can’t control her voice anymore. I mean, we all know her capabilities. She can hit the high notes with minimal to no effort – but the whole thing started like a mess. The only thing remarkable is when she hit THAT last note, surprised the judges and blew everyone away! I’ve no idea if there’s any girl in this season could hit that really high note! Amazing!
