AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 9: AI Champ Revealed (Episode 43)

It’s all here and it’s all over! That’s right, it’s all over because Simon will no longer be around by next season! How can this show continue without him – but well, I’ve made a gazillion of posts of rumored replacements but still no clarifications if those guys were really taking Simon’s soon to be vacated seat. Tonight, the results are in and your next American Idol will be taking the crown. After all the hardships, it all comes down to this: instant stardom! Should you be trying out for next years American Idol (now that Simon is out)? Why not? Do it!! At the moment, let’s go down to business – and that is announcing your next American Idol!

The show started with the Top 12 dressed in school uniform. I’ve no idea why these guys are singing an Alice Cooper track. “Schools out for Summer” if my memory serves me right. The whole thing is ridiculous. They got these bunch of school tweenies with Alice’s make up on and what do you know… Alice Cooper is also there. What a sell out!? KISS was in this very stage too last year, what a bunch of sell outs, heh!

There are too many guests, but not so much entertainment – I don’t know! They’ve abolished the awarding of the worst flukes. Better. I find that so useless, but wait… Larry Platt is in there singing ‘Pants on the Ground’ which is… well, useless! Not even funny! Once is enough, bringing this up on the big stage is horrible!

So Dane Cook is also up there. Can’t understand what the heck is that number all about. Once again, not funny! I don’t even get it, heh! Is that a joke? Should I laugh? Then a bunch of rejects came out in the background, what a waste! I think FOX cut that crap for a commercial break! Good thing!!

This finale is… dedicated to Simon! Yep, more about Simon please! There you go: a montage of all Simon’s heroic slamming of contestants and all that. Paula Abdul is in those videos. She’s giving comments… about Simon, I suppose!

Lee Dewyze singing along with the band called Chicago. Maybe because Lee’s from Chicago?? Well I’m sorry dude, but you’re literally out of tune in one of those Chicago track, lol!

Attention: Didi Benami is gorgeous tonight! So as Katie Stevens and… Siobhan? Boy, Lacey Brown is even on fire! Sorry girls, but you’re not worthy singers so you better stay in the background with your little clothes on and tease the male audience!

Speaking of little clothes on, cougar bait – Casey James is up there singing one of my favorite songs back then: Every Rose Has it’s Thorns! No idea why is Brett Michaels is up there too. I thought he’s in the ICU and not feeling well! That’s classic! A thousand times better than the terrible Alice Cooper performance!

One of the best part is when all the champs came up on stage dressed in black, while the runner ups and all that came up in white, heh! That’s weird, I think the champ should be in white! Another good one is when Simon made a speech after that performance. Wow, everybody is in tears. Kelly Clarkson, who is hard to recognize because of her coming out too fat and a blonde, is in the background and is crying! I also feel bad of Cowell leaving the show, but decisions are made now – and there’s no stopping the guy. The show must go on…

Coming up next is Janet Jackson. She did a very boring number – singing like this and that making everybody put to sleep. What do you know the last number is a “dance” track! Good thing, Janet is a real meat! Very sexy! To me, that was literally… HOT!!!

Lee and crystal is up there singing for the very last time. Right then, the tall guy (didn’t get his name, sorry) gives the envelope to Seacrest and here we go! Lee seems to be suffocated of pressure and looks like he knows that he’s winning already. Well guess again kuz he is really the one winning. Crystal Bowersox is Season 9’s runner up!

AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 9: Top 2 Performs (Episode 42)

There’s been a lot of talk that Paula Abdul will be returning in this finale of American Idol (Season 9). This 9th Season is indeed one of my favorite after David VS David finale. Not only that this season is controversial, it is also the last one with Simon Cowell. So next year, there will be a new judge but that’s too soon to discussed. I’ve made a lot of posts back then if who’s replacing Simon but all of them is just ‘rumors’ so it’s useless to speculate things at this point. Anyways, back with our Crystal Bowersox VS Lee Dewyze finale. It’s not easy watching this battle since it’s a close fight!

I’m already having my own champ – win or lose, but I won’t bother telling since I think the public knows where my bet goes, lol! Okay, so I think it’s a “sad” episode. Well, it’s a very intense episode when it comes to these two finalists but at the same time, it’s the last time we are able to see Simon Cowell giving “comments” here. Too bad he even stressed that there’s no stopping him on leaving the show after Crystal’s “Up to the Mountain” performance, saying “Since this is going to be the final critique I’m ever going to give, I would just like to say, that was outstanding.”

Anyways, there’s nothing more to say. It isn’t the very good season as I would like to expect myself, but at least, the finale saves the day. I hope that America will get it right this time around! The results last Season 8 is horrible, don’t let it happen again! VOTE FOR THE REAL ARTIST!!

AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 9: Top 2 Revealed (Episode 41)

The road towards revealing the Top 2 is here! This 9th season of American Idol has been a looooooong way of giving wild guesses on who’s leaving/who’s staying in the show – but tonight, only two lucky contestants will battle for the finale and only one will be crowned the champ, and that’s next week! Tonight, we will be saying goodbye to the odd man – because guess what… three is a crowd, right? The results might be good or bad to some, but public decision is the law around here. Whether you like it or not, the results are in! Anyway, I think the results is not so surprising at all…

This night puts a lot of nerve to the three contestants, lol! No one got the idea of what it takes to be in the Top 3 and thinking all night “who will be eliminated tomorrow night?” So not unless if you’re an Idol contestant, you know what I’m talking about. If you’re just enjoying the show – well, you should know that this is not the night to enjoy for the three remaining hopefuls ‘though…

It all looks sad seeing one of them go at this point in the competition, but that’s how it goes. The hometown visit appearing in this episode is pure epic – you shouldn’t miss that! Casey James, Crystal Bowersox, and Lee Dewyze were all welcomed as heroes in their hometown. Unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to Casey James.

For this night’s elimination, it features guest performances that I couldn’t care about: Justin Bieber, and Travis Garland. Wow, Fox surely knows that there are millions of teenage girls watching this show!

AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 9: Top 3 Performs (Episode 40)

Tonight it is the Top 3 competing on American Idol. That’s Crystal Bowersox, Casey James, and Lee Dewyze. Whatever these performances might bring to them, it is surely a life changing moment after American Idol. Of course, tonight we are expecting the obligatory ‘parade and mini-concert’ among the Top 3’s hometown. Don’t get the least, because your favorite contestant will be singing TWICE tonight. For their next round, they’re singing the judges song choice for them. Sounds familiar? Ok, then watch the stream below…

Crystal Bowersox did Melisa Etheridge ‘Come to my Window’ and eventhough that her vocals is so good, the whole thing sometimes just didn’t go along smoothly. The back up singers were ruining the whole thing in this performance. Not Crystal’s fault ‘though but ruining the singers good performance might still do a little harm, or? Anyway, her next performance blows the judges away!

Lee Dewyze is singing ‘Simple Man’ by Lynyrd Skynyrd. I thought that was so good, but Simon Cowell just couldn’t agree that Lee is winning the first round. Ellen said something like this: “That’s what we’re talking about—you took this thing seriously” – no idea if she means that the other two contestants (crystal/casey) are not taking things seriously, oh well…

Casey James performed “OK, It’s Alright With Me” and “Daughter” respectively. But hey, take a look at this… Casey seems to be just enjoying the show! No idea if he wants to be in the finale (hehe, I know he is) because from the look of things, Casey is up there having fun! Well, tonight is not the riht time to have fun. For Casey, it’s like the most important night of his life and he’s out there having fun (and not to compete), lol!

AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 9: Top 4 Results Show (Episode 39)

That’s right… American Idol is nearly coming to an end and tonight, your Top 3 will be revealed. Who gets the cut? Is it a shocker? Well, it is just the Top 4, so there IS still an odd man in the game, there is a “shocker” – and the audience as usual got their own favorites that they want to be in the Top 3! Guess what, once they’re in, your hometown will be aired on FOX and that’s priceless, eh!

This episode will only keep you guessing until the very end! Before that, of course we are getting a lot of fillers. We got a great filler ‘though. Bon Jovi is performing and gets interviewed by Seacrest. Jon is still all way cool and humble…

For the results, well guess again because Casey James is not even in the bottom three. He’s the first guy sitting in the safety zone. That leaves us with Crystal Bowersox, Lee Dewyze, and Michael Lynche to be in the bottom three.

It was Lee Dewyze being called first and he is safe. Wow, what a shocking bottom 2, right!? I mean, Crystal Bowersox is in the bottom 2. You just don’t know it. One of these guys will be sent packing their bags and leave the show. I keep on guessing it would be Michael because it would be ridiculous if Crystal ends up only in the Top 4, but what do I know…

Seacrest announced the result and the journey ends for Big Mike. He’s a cool guy and accept all the things happening. Michale got his last words like “It’s been unbelievable, man. I just sit here right now, and I think, ‘I wasn’t even supposed to be here,’ ” Lynche told Seacrest. “Thank God for the judges saving me. I got to spend more time here, be with the people … it’s all good, man.”

AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 9: Top 4 Performs Movie Theme Week (Episode 38)

Tonight on American Idol, Movie Themes Night. Mentoring the contestants is Jamie Foxx. I think it is Foxx’s second time of mentoring the contestants – why bring him back? Last year, he mentored the Season 8 hopefuls and now he’s back (once again). Maybe he likes the show so much then he should replace Simon if he wants! Anyway, why should we focus on that guy. He’s not even a good mentor at all…

Again, Jamie Foxx tried to be funny with the contestants. I don’t get that that at all. Now, the show only consists of 4 remaining contestants. Tomorrow, one of these guys will go home. So right now, we got this: a duet! The Casey/Michael duet is soooo brokeback mountain to me, but that’s alright, beh!

First on stage is LEE DEWYZE. He did Seal’s “Kiss from a Rose”. I remember Jack Black sing this song and he did great, but that’s not the case with Lee Dewyze. Unfortunately, Lee didn’t impress the judges and yours truly. Boy, you should be careful on what you’re doing in these up and coming episodes – otherwise you’ll be in danger tomorrow night! Too bad, but Lee is sometimes out of tune here. This is not an easy song specially for a singer with a low raspy voice…

Next up is MICHAEL LYNCHE with Michael Jackson’s “Will You Be There”. Once again, it’s not good. Hey, it seems that the movie themed night is painstakingly bad for the contestants? Or maybe this has something to do with the mentor, or?

CASEY JAMES is next singing Mrs. Robinson and hey, I’ve just mentioned that this is indeed a bad night for these contestants. First is Dewyze, followed by Big Mike and now this? The guys are doing really bad for the movies. For Casey James singing this song… it was bland, it was boring, it was… just bad!

CRYSTAL BOWERSOX is the last one to perform. She did Kenny Loggin’s “I’m Alright” and wow, what a relief! It’s good that there is still a nice performance to sight in this night. Crystal is back on her own road and impressed the judges.

AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 9: Top 5 Results Show (Episode 37)

Tonight on American Idol: Top 4 finalists will be revealed! We are all waiting for this and this night, is just not an ordinary night for the five remaining contestants. It’s like “you are this close, but you pack your bags on the night of May 5th, 2010″, how can you forget that date? lol! So okay, it’s the result show once again and it’ll be a sad night for any of these hopefuls. Who’s going home tonight? I got no beef with the results tonight but let’s find out if you are…

This night will have Lady Gaga perform and also, this weeks mentor and cool dude, Harry Connick Jr. I think he’s the best mentor this season but enough of that. This night got Michael Lynche and Aaron Kelly in the bottom two. Looking at these guys were hard to decide if who is going home and who’s not since they are… well, both were not my favorite so I couldn’t care less if who goes home. Or maybe they should both go home, eh…

Seacrest announce the one staying and that is Michael Lynche. Aaron Kelly is the one going home. Aaron Kelly with a size like that on a result show with Big Mike should be scared. This guy Big Mike simply keeps on giving people bear hugs and… does that hurt?

American Idol Season 9: Top 5 contestants on Sinatra Night (2010) [episode 36]

This night will not be easy. It is the episode where your frontrunners in the early episodes starts weakening and contestants that people never cared about starts soaring high. Tonight on American Idol: Frank Sinatra night. Mentoring this week is Harry Connick Jr. He’s a cool guy and not only mentoring the contestants, he also did the piano while mentoring them, doing arrangements for them – and wow, he’s also in there performing on stage together with these AI hopefuls on performance night. This guy loves his art so much, but what about the contestants? Do they love to sing too? Okay, let’s recap…

Aaron Kelly started the night. of all the usual, this guy sings it great but I don’t know. “Fly Me to the Moon” is the song he picked up. Okay let’s put it like this: he is a good singer but that’s all about it. He can’t drive the audience to just at least pay attention to him while his singing. It was good but nothing’s special…

Casey James is next and he’s singing “Blue Skies”. I don’t know what happens to this guy. Tonight, well… I’m afraid to say this but he is putting himself in danger doing this. He might be voted off tomorrow. Casey got no guitar tonight and boy, what a stiff performance. The guy lost its charm without his guitar and that’s just sad…

Crystal Bowersox is going like a diva tonight. No guitar, no dreadlocks, no boots! She looks really pretty this night, and of course, the vocals were just amazing. Not the very best performance ‘though specially if you got a lot of people expecting more from you, you should at least try to be excellent. Being the best is not enough anymore…

AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 9: Top 6 Results Show (Episode 35)

Last night on American Idol, the Top 6 contestants performed songs by Shania Twain and also being mentored by Shania herself. Tonight, one will go home. It’s not so good leaving the show if you’re in Top 6 already but that’s how it goes around here. Tonight’s result show will disappoint millions of audience worlwide, let’s see if you’re one of them…

Right… because we are going to the Top 5 and the stakes are higher this time around. The show started with a “gazillion” of collage from last night’s episode and then we got this guy in a frame and his name is Ryan Seacrest. So okay, it’s elimination night…

Of course, before sending someone home, we should be seeing a “gazillion” of guest performance: Shakira, Lady Antebellum, and Sons of Sylvia. That Ford video that features vampires and the Top 6 emulating Shrek characters. I don’t know if there would be another movie promotion aside from Clash of the Titans weeks ago. Oh wait, Antonio Banderas and Cameron Diaz were on stage! Yeah right…

Cutting it all short: Ryan divide the group and it’s a trick, right?! So okay, the bottom three is not Crystal Bowersox because she’s in the center stage with Aaron Kelly. These guys were safe! No idea why is Aaron Kelly always safe but that’s just me…

Next up we got the bottom three. The tension is so flawless in this episode, haha! I love it when Ryan picked Siobhan along with Casey James and Big Mike – the silence could make you even hear a pin drop – oh well, Siobhan, Michael, and Casey were the bottom three. It’s the second time for Casey to be in this game and he’s always in the bottom two. Michael Lynche has been sent to safety.

That leaves us with two good singers to choose if who’s going home tonight: Casey James or Siobhan Magnus. I couldn’t chose myself, but I assume it would be Casey but that leaves me so wrong. Siobhan Magnus is the one eliminated in this night’s episode. Too bad because Siobhan is a very likable contestant this season and she’s also getting back on track, tsk!

A consolation price from Ellen DeGeneres: “See you tomorrow on my show.”

American Idol Season 9: Top 6 contestants on Shania Twain Night (2010) [episode 34]

American Idol is now airing their 34th episode for this ninth season. It all comes down to the Top 6 contestants and they will be performing songs by Shania Twain – and for an added bonus, they’re having Shania Twain herself as their mentor.

So this night, is not an easy night! If you think that Shania songs were easzy to sing and all that, well think again. Tonight, we are about to see a lot of hit and miss performance. Too bad, but it seems that there are more misses than hits in this episode.

Michael Lynche takes the stage first, and to see this guy singing a Shania song, it’ll looks devastating as it could get! The performance came out okay though. Simon said it is too girly for Michael and I have to agree with that.

Casey James came up on stage with her acoustic guitar once again and he picked “Don’t”. Eventhough Shania said that she’s more like missing Casey’s confidence – the performance came out really good. I think this could be the performance of the night…

Crystal Bowersox did picked the wrong choice, or? Well, she picked “No One Needs to Know” and too bad because that song got a big country vibe. I’ve thought that Crystal will be doing great with Shania songs but this one didn’t met my expectations. Or maybe I’m expecting too much from Crystal already, tsk!

Lee Dewyze came up on stage singing one of the most popular Shania songs, You’re Still the One! This is a big risk! Lee is going to take a dive ala David Cook! Unfortunately, for me… it didn’t do it! I’m sorry but this version is a failure. Yeah, I’m so David Cook and we can’t do anything but to compare these guys when it comes to tweaking things like this.

Aaron Kelly picked You’ve Got a Way, and look, I’ve never really cared for this guy. I don’t know. I think he didn’t do it in an awful way. I thought it was okay. I don’t know. I couldn’t care less, heh!

Next is VFTW new pick: Siobhan Magnus. However, after this performance I don’t know if they (vftw) will still pick Siobhan since Siobhan is the best singer of the night! Amazing vocals from this girl! The weird clothing is still present but after a couple of weeks after Paint it Black, Siobhan is back on track! Good job!!
