American Idol Season 10: Dropping to LA to audition – September 22

The 10th season is coming near and the judges to replace who wasn’t announced yet! Anyway, that doesn’t mean that there is some hibernation in the American Idol camp. In fact, they are already preparing for the next season (it’s the 10th), and the gang will be dropping by in Los Angeles this month! Mark the date: September 22, 2010. These tryouts will be in six cities, wrapping in San Francisco in August. This LA audition is a response to the impressive turnout at those tryouts. I wonder who the judges will be. American Idol will start by January 2011.

Steven Tyler is said to be confirmed as the new American Idol judge

Alright, I don’t want to mess this things regarding American Idol. It’s just that I’ve read a lot of news that Steven Tyler is “officially confirmed” by sources (not sure how reliable they are) that’s been circling around the internet. This is so viral! So yes, base upon what I’ve read, the 62 year old Rockstar / Aerosmith lead singer is DOING IT! Steven Tyler inked a deal as the new American Idol Judge – maybe the one replacing Simon Cowell. Once again, I’m not sure about this – so better research on your own if you want to confirm this news. I’ve read a lot of people’s names and FOX denies them, what about this one? Sounds real…

On the other news, Jennifer Lopez is also coming on board. That’s right, despite of all the news regarding her diva demands, J-Lo is coming on board. Once again, this is not so officially confirmed so don’t qoute me on everything I’ve said! LOL!

Anyway, to stop all your wanderings, news claimed that FOX will be expeting to announce and confirm all the judges this coming Labor Day on the 6th of September 2010. That’s a few weeks away. I can’t wait to hear that news myself! This sounds to be like an exciting season…

Fantasia Barrino rushed to the hospital after drug overdose

American Idol is currently having headaches about the ‘reshuffling’ of judges. There are news about Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler to be stepping on the judges panel along with American Idol veteran judge, Randy Jackson. But what’s this… we got other news, like Fantasia Barrino being rushed to the hospital after a drug overdose. Drugs were aspirin and a sleep aid, and not heroine! Oh, a heroine overdose among celebrities is so ’80s, so don’t expect that! LOL!

I am actually not interested touching this, but the news is all over the place and even got a link to American Idol News, so… anyway, that’s all about it. If you want to know more about the ‘possible cause’ why this happens to Fantasia, then google that yourself. LOL!

American Idol approached Steven Tyler to be an AI judges

News I’ve read is that American Idol approached Aerosmith’s frontman, Steven Tyler, to be one of the judges in American Idol this coming Season 10 – that’ll be next year. It was all over the internet that Steven Tyler’s band mate, Joe Perry, seems to bhe not happy with what he’s able to read! Here’s a statement from Joe Perry: “I found out on the internet like the rest of the world… I mean, this is no small thing. I mean, after working with me for 40 years, he couldn’t tell me about this… Why so secretive? We’re told it’s a done deal. If Steven is committed to a TV show, that kind of affects the rest of us. We’d like to plan our lives, ya know?”

Steven Tyler is not replacing the irreplaceable Simon Cowell but get ready for this… Steven Tyler is replacing Kara DioGuardi. That’s right while another newcomer, Jennifer Lopez, is said to be replacing Ellen DeGeneres (who left after one season only). That leaves Randy Jackson to be the only original judge left in the show. I’ve no idea how can Randy Jackson able to deal with this. I mean, with these two new people, how can the chemistry work. It looks like that chemistry is no longer important, just keep the job!

We’ll be seeing more of this report very soon. I’ve no idea if this is really confirmed, sounds silly to me, but you know how the world goes around today, so…

American Idol recently got a lot of overhauling. News claimed that Kara DioGuardi has been axed, and new names for a replacement came into the picture like Jennifer Lopez (to replace Ellen Degeneres) and Steven Tyler (to be replacing Simon Cowell). The final turn is not yet confirmed so you can all make wild guesses of your ideal replacement if you like. Nothing’s official so this is fun. I mean, you know… a guessing game that the whole world seems to care!?

Ellen De Generes is no longer an American Idol judge

American Idol made it official today that Ellen DeGeneres is no longer a part of the show. I mean, as a judge – she’s out! While the audience like you and me were making wild guesses on who will replace Simon Cowell, another judge was out! Well, Ellen DeGeneres replaced Paula Abdul… who’s gonna replace Ellen now? Are they in need of two judges? Then maybe Brett Michaels and Harry Connick Jr will fit the bill LOL! Something’s not right here, but what do I know. Just wait and watch the actual show next year.

American Idol to be sued by Ian Bernardo for $300 million USD

American Idol will be sued by ex-contestant for $300 million US Dollars! The name of the guy is Ian Bernardo, I don’t know if you can still remember him but I’m not going further with the details. So okay, I don’t know what I’m thinking right now but at least I got one thing in mind about this guy – but once again, I’m not going further with the details! Maybe the guy will stumble in this site and sue me for what I’m talking about him lol. It was said that he’s suing the show because of suing for emotional injuries and loss of employment opportunities. I was like in a Randy Jackson tone: “whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!!”

Well well well… looks like our boy Ian Bernardo is trying to keep it up!! Boy, that $300 million US Dollars is not just a couple of bucks we’re talking about! We’re talking about real fortune in a snap!

Whatever might be, but if in case the guy wins, he’ll be bigger than recent losers… I mean winners like Crystal Bowersox and/or Lee Dewyze – who’s single is struggling hard in the charts by doing what they love, and that’s music! Ian Bernardo does what he loves! So no further comment on my side. I’ve stumbled with this news on TMZ so I don’t know if that is really true or another fabricated crap surfacing like mushrooms nowadays!

American Idol will be bringing back Nigel Lythgoe

The 10th Season of American Idol is just 6 months away and the staff doesn’t give any name for Simon Cowell’s replacement yet! So far auditions on Nashville and Milwaukee were done and yet, Simon Cowell’s seat is still available. Possible replacements were already mentioned but they weren’t confirmed. I mean none of those rumored names were confirmed so we are left hanging with excitement! However, today I’ve heard news and this might seem to be like good news already: Nigel Lythgoe is returning as American Idol producer!!

Nigel Lythgoe left American Idol last 2008 due to “So You Think You Can Dance.” However, there are reports claiming that Nigel left the show due to some behind the scenes friction with Simon Cowell. Well, what do you know… some things are possible!

With Nigel returning, he said in an interview that he will be revamping the panel of judges by hiring a new panel of judges! If that’s the case then what’s the fuzz on “who’s to replace Simon Cowell?”, why not change it to: “Who will replace all of them?” So, except for Ryan Seacrest, the judges jobs were all at stake here! LOL!

American Idol Season 10 First 2 Auditions are looking good

American Idol Season 10 is approaching and so we are having this: 26,000 hopefuls were singing their guts out on the first 2 cities that the American Idol gang is stopping by. 26 thousand seems to be “impressive” but I’ve no idea how this one will turn out. People weren’t so affected by the departure of Simon Cowell and that’s a good sign at least – the show must go on! Nashville and Milwaukee were already invaded and the response from the crowd is incredible! Simon Fuller got these lines: “These attendance figures are significantly up on the last few years, and there is clearly renewed excitement and interest in the show, which is great to see.”

Here are the figures: Nashville – 16,000. Milwaukee – 10,000. This Monday, American Idol will be dropping by in New Orleans! Are you coming to try it out? Boooo hoo! And hey, what is this “callback” you guys are talking about? Ok, sorry, didn’t get that one!

American Idol Season 10 auditions drawing 16,000+ hopefuls

It’s not every day that you see Nashville’s Lower Broadway teeming with thousands of people just before sunrise, but that rare sight was on display at 5 a.m. Saturday, as thousands of would-be pop stars lined up outside Bridgestone Arena to audition for American Idol. As the sun started to break over the honky-tonks, supervising producer Patrick Lynn stood on a ladder with a bullhorn in the middle of Broadway, instructing the crowd to chant “Nashville!” as cameras swooped overhead.

Lynn told reporters Saturday morning that the turnout was bigger than he’d expected, and estimated that “north of 15,000” people had shown up for Nashville’s second-ever Idol audition. An Idol publicist later confirmed the final total as slightly more than 16,000 people.

“We’ve wanted to come back (to Nashville), for a long time, and here we are,” Lynn said. “You just don’t get a vibe like this anywhere else.”

The mood was lively — despite some attendees’ lack of sleep — at the very front of the audition line, where some had been waiting since 1 a.m.

“I’ve been up too long,” said 18-year-old Justin Smith of Crossville, Tenn. “I’m kind of a nervous wreck.”

Smith said he was taking the audition very seriously, even though he doesn’t have much experience singing in public. “I used to sing for my shower head. It was pretty impressed, but that’s about it.

“I’d be upset (if I didn’t pass the audition), but if it’s not my time to get out there, then it’s not my time. There’s always next year.”

Eighteen-year-old Shayna Beard of Thurmont, Md., would agree with that sentiment. Saturday’s Nashville audition marked Beard’s third time auditioning for the show — she also tried out for the show’s last two seasons in Dallas and New York.

“The first one I went to, it was really just an experience,” she said. “I didn’t know what was going to happen. I was 16. Last year, I actually improved and I got further. I got up to the third audition with the celebrity judges. I got cut, but I was like, ‘Hey, I improved,’ and that was my main goal.”
