Avril Lavigne Katy PerryFor this episode, American Idol is hitting Los Angeles, and this ninth season, the Los Angeles audition is probably the worst episode ever (seen four episodes for this season, so?). Nothing gets better seeing a bunch of lousy contestants and a guest judge that almost conform with the opinions of the rest. Sorry to say, but Katy Perry makes Victoria Beckham a good judge now – while Avril Lavigne is just… there! Well, she was like a big joke sitting in there too, so what’s next? Read on…

So once again, there were a pile of American Idol hopefuls and naming them like Jim Ranger, Damien Lefaver, Mary Powers, A.J. Mendoza, Austin Fullmer, Andrew Garcia, Tasha Layton, Jason Greene, Daniel Franco and of course a whole lot more than you can imagine!

Golden Ticket winners, first we got Mary Powers, from Burbank. She got an 8 year old daughter and singing Pat Benatar. Eventhough Simon told her that she’s too cliche, the rest of the judges uniformly said YES, so she’s in for the next round.

Andrew Garcia might be giving you his little stories, but in the long run, this guy is singing it well. Simon even call him a “genuinely, genuinely good singer.” Perhaps, the highlight and best singer of this weak episode!

For the rejects, we got…

Jason Greene, singing “I touch myself”. Guest judge, Katy Perry said that she feels dirty. The entire singing is raunchy and bad! On his way out, he gave his number to Seacrest.

and while Adam Lambert didn’t win Season 8, he got a lot of following and AJ Mendoza is one of those. This guy can’t really sing but he looks like Adam Lambert, how can you disagree on giving that credit! lol

Next we got Austin Fullmer. This might be another raunchy performance. Austin likes being sexual or a sexual singer I don’t know. Maybe a torn in between Mick Jagger and Iggy pop, depends on how you look at it.

Damien Lefavor, the guy leaving the judges before they can even give decisions.

Neil Goldstein, blaming Simon for his ‘bad performance’. He sweats like hell and forgets the lyrics.

In this episode, only 22 contestants made it through and not all of them were blows the roof. Some were very mediocre….
