OK, so with the boys performing tonight isn’t a change of plan just because the girls went first last week (Tuesday). This is because, Crystal Bowersox was hospitalized and couldn’t perform for this night. Regular schedule will get back next week, with the girls on Tuesday and Boys on Wednesday, or what do I know?! American Idol temporarily switch the performance nights and this Tuesday, the one that will be taking the stage first were the boys. This is due to medical issues that might prevent Crystal Bowersox from performing tonight. Thus, our Top 10 boys should be ready to take the stage first. Meanwhile, Crystal Bowersox is in the hospital recovering from diabetes complications.
Season 5 third placer, Elliot Yamin, is currently in danger. Well, no idea if this has connection with the earthquake but Elliot lives from Type 1 diabetes and at the moment, he is running out of supplies for his pump. He is able to reach people saying “I don’t know how long we’re going to be here. This country isn’t very keen on insulin pumps; supplies for my pump are running low. Hospitals here are very crowded, and as you can imagine, they are dealing with bigger things.” “I hope to get home before I slip into a diabetic coma.” he added.
American Idol judge, Simon Cowell, is engaged to his girlfriend, Mezhgan Hussainy. Simon tried denying it but Mezhgan confirmed this engagement rumors to be true. Simon is not setting up a wedding date as of yet since he is insisting a pre-nuptial agreement to protect his $200 million worth of wealth.
Last Tuesday and Wednesday night, Top 12 girls and Top 12 boys performed in American Idol’s voting stage respectively for the first time. It’s not the best one around and to some, they say that the judges were harsher than they used to be. Maybe this is because it’s no secret that Simon Cowell is leaving the show. It’s no surprise for Simon giving that kind of criticism to the contestants, but take a look at Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi this season. Both were giving serious opinions and Randy’s “It’s the bomb, dawg!” non-sense disappear.
American Idol’s first elimination is over and we got four ‘casualties’ scattering around. Namely Janell Wheeler, Ashley Rodriguez, Joe Munoz, and Tyler Grady. I don’t know if there’s something wrong with this, or maybe these guys really needs to be cut off the show. I thought Janell and Ashley were strong front runners, but not this time. It’s a tough call for the girls since it’s only Crystal Bowersox and Siobhan Magnus did an excellent job on that night (at least to me) – the rest were literally average – if not bad! When it comes to the guys, well… Tim Urban needs to be cut here and not Joe Munoz but we all know that’s not what happened. I can’t name any other guy, maybe Tyler really needs to be cut since he’s a complete poser on that night. And what about blaming the judges on air because you’ve been booted out in the show is classic! so, do you think American audience get it right or not?
American Idol aired the first elimination round for Season 9 and we got Four Idol hopefuls sent home. This might shock fans, since we knew that everybody got their own favorite already. However, I think the elimination is all about judging the contestants on how well are they doing during the singing competition. So for this result, I think everything went right – except for Tim Urban vs Joe Munoz maybe, but that’s just me.
