Last Tuesday and Wednesday night, Top 12 girls and Top 12 boys performed in American Idol’s voting stage respectively for the first time. It’s not the best one around and to some, they say that the judges were harsher than they used to be. Maybe this is because it’s no secret that Simon Cowell is leaving the show. It’s no surprise for Simon giving that kind of criticism to the contestants, but take a look at Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi this season. Both were giving serious opinions and Randy’s “It’s the bomb, dawg!” non-sense disappear.
American Idol’s first elimination is over and we got four ‘casualties’ scattering around. Namely Janell Wheeler, Ashley Rodriguez, Joe Munoz, and Tyler Grady. I don’t know if there’s something wrong with this, or maybe these guys really needs to be cut off the show. I thought Janell and Ashley were strong front runners, but not this time. It’s a tough call for the girls since it’s only Crystal Bowersox and Siobhan Magnus did an excellent job on that night (at least to me) – the rest were literally average – if not bad! When it comes to the guys, well… Tim Urban needs to be cut here and not Joe Munoz but we all know that’s not what happened. I can’t name any other guy, maybe Tyler really needs to be cut since he’s a complete poser on that night. And what about blaming the judges on air because you’ve been booted out in the show is classic! so, do you think American audience get it right or not?
American Idol aired the first elimination round for Season 9 and we got Four Idol hopefuls sent home. This might shock fans, since we knew that everybody got their own favorite already. However, I think the elimination is all about judging the contestants on how well are they doing during the singing competition. So for this result, I think everything went right – except for Tim Urban vs Joe Munoz maybe, but that’s just me. Here are the first 4 eliminated contestants: Janell Wheeler, Joe Munoz, Ashley Rodriguez and Tyler Grady.
This night on American Idol, we will be watching how well these boys can do. Last night seems to be a struggling night for the girls, so what about this night? The buzz on the Male Contestants weren’t as noisy as Didi Benami’s ‘Terrified’ or Crystal Bowersox’s ‘Natural Woman’, but on the girls night – these two girls didn’t impressed the judges that much. American Idol aired the first voting episode and we got the girls to first take the stage. It was a bit disappointing to see this episode since, to those who are familiar on the previous episode, we knew that the girls are seems to be doing great in this season. With only two girls getting a positive fullhouse, this seems to be failure. Not to mention that the judges were very sharp tonight. Maybe this has something to do with the upcoming departure of Simon Cowell on the show. Radny Jackson and Kara DioGuardi are both seem to be giving real constructive criticism tonight.
American Idol season 8 contestant, Allison Iraheta, will be appearing in the first result show of American Idol’s ninth season. Allison will be taking the American Idol stage and sing her new single called “Scars”. The First result show of American Idol Season 9 will be aired by Thursday night – we’re about to see the first contestant from the said Top 24 to go home.
The live shows on American Idol haven’t even kicked off yet and already there is drama. Simon Cowell addressed reports of arguments between he and Ellen DeGeneres, who he’d like to replace him next season and how much he really misses Paula Abdul.
