So we got this news that Simon was offered an enormous $100 million to remain on the show’s judging panel. A few more reports about this even stated that the amount is a bit higher that what it is now. Like $44 million higher. Doing the math that’s about $144 million!! However though, it seems that Simon already got this mindset of leaving American Idol and bring ‘The X-Factor’ to the United States. Maybe that’s important to him than a paycheck. I couldn’t imagine American Idol without Simon but who knows… for a two day run of the show without Paula Abdul, it all seem to look fine to me.

We’ve gone thru with the good auditioners in these first two episodes of American Idol 9, now maybe it’s about time to pick up the… well, those that are something different. They might be good or they might be bad, it’s your call. This happens long ago with Alexis Cohen (rip), but that didn’t happen in front of the judges (I think). So this time, you’ll get a load of attitude problems floating up the air. If you ask me, my pick is Lamar Royal. This guy can’t sing but he believes he can and wouldn’t agree with the judges. It’s like: “are you serious?” lol that’s classic! Andrew can somehow sing, it is his arrogance that didn’t make him thru. Great one indeed!
Yep, after these two episodes, we can pick up some good and bad ones – but that’s just fairly obvious. Ever wonder about those contestants that surprised you? Due to how they look like, you thought they might suck so bad but to your surprise they can really sing very well! Or it could be the other way around: contestants that look good but singing it so bad (but I’m not posting them, sorry)! I think there’s a few from these first two episodes and these three videos were a proof of that. Check them out, who would have thought these guys could SING?! Hope they’ll be serious in Hollywood Week ‘though…
Well, after two days of airing American Idol: Boston and Atlanta auditions, we can see that Paula Abdul is not in there anymore? Instead we’ve seen Victoria Beckham and Mary J Blige filling up the seat. What’s with this now? Did you miss Paula? Or is it only that ‘nostalgic’ feeling you got making you miss her. I’m not saying that I didn’t miss Paula in the show, too bad she’s not there anymore, but let’s face it: These two episodes were really good! I think Paula’s absense wasn’t felt that much as long as we got a good replacement, like Mary J Blige as far as I see it. Looking forward on the show with Ellen DeGeneres.
Larry Platt is a 62 year old guy who closes the Atlanta audition. Yeah, he’s overage, calling himself as a “civil rights movement four-star General Larry Platt” but I don’t know why he still manage to be in there. He’s singing his crazy originally written song called “Pants on the Ground”. This sounds to be like that previous season “I am your brother, we’re best friends forever” lol. Simon Cowell said that “I’m afraid this song could become a hit” and when judges asked him about his feelings regarding his audition, platt said, “It played real, real good. I liked it. I loved it.”
Right, so the first two days of American Idol audition got aired already and there we’ve seen the guest judges: Victoria Beckham and Mary J Blige. Now I try to avoid making this comparison, but I think (at least for me), Mary J Blige gets the job done right. She talks like a real judge, she interacts with the contestant, she’s laughing on the bad ones and she’s not just sitting in there blinking an eye for an hour. I think Victoria is sweet, but I can’t feel her presence during the audition (not unless if the camera takes a focus on her with that terrible eyeshadow). Not to mention about her giving comments with a ridiculous British accent is just useless. Don’t bother giving comments if the viewers can’t even understand those words then. Anyway, the first two days were great. Can’t wait to see Shania next week!
It’s day 2 of American Idol 9 airing and this time they’ve hit Atlanta with a guest judge, this time is Mary J. Blige. Seems like we’re having a lot of personalities to be dealing with this time around. If Boston got some smart ass guy that looks like a tanned version of Cillian Murphy, these time we got a few more personalities to talk about.
