Last night, American Idol aired the episode where they are revealing the last names to complete the Top 24. This episode looks strange to me. They’ve announced those who made it but there are two persons that got me confused, mainly Chris Golightly and Tim Urban. If you notice at the end of the show, the blonde curly hair Chris Golightly was there with the other 23 contestants. He is standing at the back of Katie Stevens (I think), but during the ‘dancing top 24′ he is no longer in there. Instead, you’ll see Tim Urban dancing and Chris Golightly missing.
What actually happen is that, according to mtv.com, American Idol producers found out that Chris Golightly got a recording contract. That is a valid reason to make him ineligible to compete on the said show (American Idol).
According to usatoday.com, Chris Golightly was under contract with a company called Dream Projects Entertainment and shouldn’t be allowed to audition at all.
So ok, Chris Golightly is out and we all know the reason why. The question here now is pointed to Tim Urban. I mean, why is Tim Urban the immediate replacement of Chris Golightly?? Before the end of this episode, there are two guys walking down toward the judges, that’s Thaddeus Johnson and Andrew Garcia.
If Thaddeus Johnson is also considered to be a strong contender against Garcia for that final spot, then why is he not replacing Chris Golightly instead??
Maybe because Golightly back himself up saying he’s not in a contract when he auditioned for American Idol and simply want his spot back. Later news claim that Lawrence Franklin is willing to release Chris just for him to compete in the show, but who knows who’s right and who’s wrong, that spot is already taken and Tim Urban got it now! There’s no turning back, heh! LOL…
